Job duties for the position:

• Compound and dispense medications as per physician’s prescriptions.
• Perform prospective Drug Utilization, review new and refilled prescriptions for allergies, medication adherence, drug Interactions and therapeutic duplication for safe and effective medication administration.
• Counsel patients about medications and side effects. Compound non-sterile customized medication preparation of ointments and creams as per physician’s instructions.
• Ensure proper precautions and security measures while handling control medications by complying with federal and state regulations.
• Advise patients on prescriptions and non-prescription medications.
• Advise patients about drug interactions, side effects, dosage and storage of pharmaceuticals.
• Order and monitor supply of drugs.
• Maintain and run pharmacy premises in accordance to state and federal laws and regulation.
• Use Micro-Merchant pharmacy software.
• Supervise one Pharmacy Technician and one Technician Trainee.

Bachelor Degree is required in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Science or Pharmaceutics or Pharmaceutical Manufacturing.
